This movie was phenomenal! I thought it was incredible and unpredictable. Strange Darling was the first movie I've watched in a year or two where I was completely surprised and couldn't wait to finish! The acting was incredible and the writing matched as well. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a very clever story. I won't say anymore so I don't spoil it for you :)

This documentary had only crumbs of good moments, but it was definitely hurt by the most insufferable VFX soup. When the show started to serve little bits of intriguing information, it was interrupted by a horrible robotic narrator with a fireworks of effects and constantly changing footage. A shoe and a bag of chips talking, really?
I won't theorize what these former workers are as people, but the narration attempt felt 100% clear from the start; "_We worked there, now we don't, we're sorry, we are the good guys now!_". After watching, I was annoyed and had a headache.

A story of exploitation told by a company's former advocates and victims. These brave people came forward to tell the story that happened behind the curtains, regardless of the fact that OneTaste was _still_ an active company during filming. I applaud the interviewees, who opened their hearts about their vulnerabilities and how it was used against them by the company.

The sound effects Klausner and his crew create in “Stomach It” do the lion’s share of the work in evoking a bodily reaction both from Joel’s character and the audience, who is made to feel like a voyeur throughout the story. We cringed and gagged alongside Joel as he utilized the tools of his trade to clean up vomit, blood, and the other miscellaneous viscera left behind. Klausner is efficacious in deciding what to leave to the imagination versus what to show us up close and personal to elicit the strongest reaction from his audience. Context: So I write a lot. Most of it is about, essentially, myself. Every so often, I'll do a reread, and while I'm clutching at my aching chest, I'll think, "Wow, past!me sure was going through it!!!”
Meanwhile, I'm also smooshing my cheeks down out of a violent grin so that my face stops hurting because there is really no substitute to reading something written specifically _for me_.

Season 1 was remarkable and had incredible acting and writing. The editing was very tight as well, and the entire season I kept thinking how brilliant the show was. It was a great example of a story that needed to be told over several hours, instead of a 2 hour movie.
On the other hand, Season 2 was a very weird season. Like I almost think the writers were all very intoxicated or on heavy pain medication. Bizarre storylines and the acting took a deep nosedive compared to Jessica Lange's season. Overall it seemed self-indulgent and parts of it was gross.
