Big Baby
7/10 by Sierbahnn August 8, 2026
This is slightly surreal and pulls off a meta commentary on the horror genre very effectively. It has an excellent cast and is strange and unsettling in the best ways. At some point the pacing is a bit off but I highly recommend you watching this.…

Lots of really stupid stuff in this program, but the first two seasons were interesting enough to get me to come back for the next episode, overlooking the stupid stuff. The repeated overt homosexuality is offensive, but I do understand that it is required by law to include this offensive content in every new program now (I never used to care about such things one way or another, but this constant unwanted force feeding has made me become incensed and outraged with it - THAT is why I find it offensive now). At least this program mostly treats it as just part of life instead of some mincing c…

House of the Dragon

I really enjoyed this show! The story kept me interested from start to finish, and the cast did an excellent job bringing the characters to life. The pacing was good, and each episode left me wanting to see what happened next. Outside of watching great shows, I also like exploring different food options, and the [**Popeyes family meal menu**](https://popeyesmenuwithprice.com/popeyes-family-meal/) is something I often check before planning a meal with friends or family. Overall, this was an entertaining watch that I'd definitely recommend.…

A sadly realistic glance behind the scenes of a glamorous industry There is a BL subgenre which I call “BTS BL“, because it makes viewers glance behind the scenes of the entertainment, and especially the BL industry. The first movie that focused on this topic was “Fuccbois“ (Philippines 2019), which was based on a true story of two young men who fell victim to politicians who abused and destroyed them, and who took revenge by murdering one of them. The movie boosted the careers of Kokoy de Santos, Royce Cabrera and Migs Villasis. Whereas “Fuccbois“ depicted the Filipino pageantry scene, …

Avatar: The Last Airbender
7/10 by maxpjones August 2, 2026
The primary conclusion I drew from this series is that the only way to properly do a live-action remake of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is not just my favorite television series but my favorite piece of media period of all time, is to literally do a word-for-word shot-for-shot update with minimal to no changes. Even though this is generally a faux paw of adaptations, like how this was the primary criticism of this year's live-action Moana, in the case of The Last Airbender, the original is so literally flawless that any changes are inherently going to make the remake product…

Sherlock
9/10 by TkA July 30, 2026
**This series was just excellent! Don't miss it!** What else can I say? Excellent 9/10 = Don't miss it! Meaning stop reading now and go watch it!\ \ You really don't want to be spoiling this one, and it's better to be surprised, so you should stop reading now, and go watch it!\ \ Let me give you a tip for when you watch it - watch it at 0.75 or 0.80 speed, so it will last longer. If you do that you will be thankful you did that, because it does 2 things. 1) It slows down how fast Sherlock is rationalizing so you can make better sense of it, and 2) it makes the whole excellent series las…

Doctor Who
7/10 by TkA July 30, 2026
**It had a good early run, but is now tarnishing its legacy** I've been a devoted fan of Doctor Who since the 1970's, watching all of the original episodes, the film, and faithfully kept up with every installment of the 2005 series. All throughout I have experienced the ups and downs that come with being a fan of a Doctor Who. While the gap between the old 1989 series and new 2005 series was disappointing, the stories beginning in 2005 were promising and managed to captivate my attention. Within short order it raised the bar on the original series, and the outings were a lot of fun, high…

Percy Jackson and the Olympians
3/10 by TkA July 30, 2026
**Bad.** What a disappointing start. No desire to watch this anymore. It's pretty clear that this series is on par with the train wrecks disney has been doling out for the last decade. Another outing in a long line of wastes of time where they dropped the ball on casting, realism, pumped up cringe, or ditching the story or changing it to fill a checklist. Hope is now lost for this series too. But you can now set your watch and expect disney will keep doling out disasters. The track record is clear after what they've done to other things, like Doctor Who, Star Wars, etc. Disney was once g…

Attack on Titan
10/10 by TkA July 30, 2026
**Attack on Titan is a unique and captivating sci-fi fantasy masterpiece.** The comic itself is exceptional, but the animated adaptation elevates it tenfold with its stunning colors and visuals. If you want to witness a flawless transformation from comic to animated series, look no further than Attack On Titan's comic, this series, and its related films. The artwork, animation, and storytelling remain faithful to the source material, adding to the immense world-building. The initial premise of gargantuan human-eating giants is fantastical, but as the story unfolds, it reveals a vast and …
