As the lexicon is busy writing itself, eventually revealing the name of the Antichrist, its protector, Allison, is doing her best to keep the warring angles from finding it. Filmed at the same time as "Prophecy: Uprising", with the same writers and directors, it's pretty obvious that the two films are two parts of the same story. Nothing special story wise, we've seen this one in episodes of "Supernatural", but the writing is exceptionally good, the acting is consistently professional and it certainly is not a bad film. A Thai film featuring a character study of a cop who becomes a convict who becomes an assassin who gets shot in the head, and now sees the world upside-down, and who is now running from a past that wants to kill him. This is not an action thriller but rather a solid drama with some action in it. I was interested enough with the main character to enjoy the view but overall, it's slow and, at times, rather redundant. A woman inherits her childhood home from her deceased mother ...and her imaginary friend appears to still be living in the wall. This movie was one very long sequence of not-all-that-scary scenes, one right after another, without any progression to the story. Wow! This was exciting!! Chinese film loosely based on a rescue mission during the Yemen civil war (in this case, the country is Yewaire) in 2015. But, that really doesn't matter because once things get going, the warfare is non-stop and the little bits of drama it does have do more to get in the way then actually presenting us with a story to get serious about. The action, however, is stylish, sometimes brutally realistic, and intensely exciting including some choice gags that elicited a "Whoa!" out of me a few times. High tech warfare at it's best. A clueless dog is forced into the position of samurai for a town full of cats ...and they're powers that wish to destroy him. My wife and I found this film to be quite entertaining and, at times, laugh-out-loud funny. The characters were a joy to watch and provided with plenty of personality by an all-star cast of voices. Being the engine behind this, Mel Brooks pulled out a hefty bag of tricks that included "Blazing Saddles" tropes, constantly breaking the fourth wall and a parody of toilet humor using toilet humor that was a riot. I am so torn with this movie. The drive to create, the artistic urge can be so overwhelming that some people eschew everything, all relationships and comforts, to pursue it. Humans are driven to make things, to create. Art and the way it tells a story is part of being human. Even if no one sees what is created, the creative act still has meaning. All of this is the central theme of this movie. And so much of how it is depicted is very affecting to watch. Then there are the other parts of the movie.
