Awful film. Hackneyed storyline. Extremely predictable ending. Absolutely nothing clever about this whatsoever.
Also the acting is atrocious. My wife commented that it's like they just found some people on the street and held signs for them off-camera to read their lines. This is one of the few American network TV shows we're still watching. It can be hit-or-miss but overall it's pretty good.
The lead is a pretty talented actor and does a good job between understated comedy and being an 'action' star type guy. Randy was a great addition to the cast last year, and I read that some of the questionable actors are no longer with the show, which was just fine by me.

The absolute best thing you can say about this movie is that you will always know exactly what time it is while watching it. I have never looked at my watch more.
In a movie named "The Mastermind" you'd be excused for expecting anything that required forethought. You would be disappointed. At best, the storyline of this movie was half completed before they gave up on it and just decided it was a good place to put some end credits.

Coming into Another Simple Favor, I was ready to dive back into the delicious, twisted world that the original film so brilliantly established. Excellent show with moments of brilliance!
The fights were mostly excellent and the characters not your typical cookie cutouts.
The show loses a few points on certain dialogues that do not seem to flow; it also has some misplaced humour but mostly limited to a single character (unfortunately as it is one of the main ones). Other than that, the show hits the marks anyone would expect of a martial art, action show.
