Description:
Shizu, 85 and unmarried, has lived for 30 years in a public housing complex ("Danchi"), filling her home with a lifetime of keepsakes. When the Danchi is slated for demolition, Shizu and her neighbors must relocate to smaller, newer housing – spaces too small for all of her belongings. This intimate documentary follows Shizu as she navigates saying goodbye to her home and deciding which memories to carry forward, and which ones to leave behind. It reveals her sense of humor and deep nostalgia during this poignant process.
