Description:
After completing the pilgrimage to Mecca, El Hadji returns home with the respected title of "Haji." He falls in love with Santou, his daughter's friend, who is already promised to Garba. El Hadji is already married with two wives, and his second wife, Gaika, is determined to prevent another younger woman from entering their household. She schemes to kill Santou.
