In Mexico City, transgender women, especially sex workers, endure brutal violence. This film offers a powerful, intimate look at how this violence shapes the lives of women like Kenya. The story begins after Kenya witnesses the murder of her friend Paola by a client. We follow Kenya as she navigates the complexities of life within the community, including the difficult question of whether Paola will be allowed a respectful burial as a trans woman. With rare empathy and understanding, Kenya connects with Paola's loved ones. When Paola’s murderer is released, Kenya and her community launch a sustained fight for justice.
