Description:
This moving story follows eight-year-old Miyuki as she adjusts to her father Ryoichi bringing his new partner, Akiko, into their lives. Still grieving the loss of her mother, Miyuki is wary of any changes to her close relationship with her father. Akiko, a successful businesswoman, initially tries to win Miyuki over with her usual methods, but her efforts backfire, leaving both her and Ryoichi frustrated. As months pass with no improvement, they seek help from Shimoyama, a friendly neighbor who knows Miyuki well. Akiko realizes that earning Miyuki's trust requires empathy, not just a business approach. The series explores themes of loss, family, and acceptance, showing how patience, love, and understanding can help this small family heal and grow together.
