Just as childhood dreams often fade, the competitive spark between four young swimmers – Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, and Rin – seemed destined to disappear after a pivotal tournament marking the end of elementary school. But fate has a way of pulling people back together. Years later, a fierce challenge from Rin reignites that old rivalry when he decisively defeats Haruka in a race. Determined not to let his ambition be quenched, Haruka rallies two familiar faces, Makoto and Nagisa, and welcomes a promising new swimmer, Rei, to establish the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club and reclaim their place in the pool.

The familiar splash is back! The Iwatobi Swimming Club faces a new challenge this season: keeping the team afloat as they struggle to attract fresh talent. As high school winds down, longtime members Haru and Makoto grapple with big questions about their futures – will their passion for swimming carry them beyond graduation? Adding another ripple to the water, Rin's childhood friend arrives, reigniting old rivalries and throwing a wrench in Haru’s plans. Can the Iwatobi crew navigate these shifting currents and keep their team spirit strong?

Back in Tokyo for college, Haruka’s life takes an unexpected turn when she reconnects with Asahi, triggering a flood of memories – including those of his childhood friend, Ikuya. Alongside this reunion, Makoto is pursuing a fresh ambition while sharing the city with Haruka. Across the globe, Rin finds himself facing a surprising encounter in Sydney.
