Description:
This moving drama follows a former convict who finds redemption through traditional comic storytelling. He becomes obsessed with "Shinigami," a captivating performance by the legendary Yakumo, and begs to be his apprentice, taking on the name Yotaro. Under Yakumo's tutelage, Yotaro learns the art of storytelling while navigating the intricate relationships within their community. He meets Konatsu, Yakumo’s protegé and the daughter of a famous storyteller who died young. Though she yearns for a performing career like her father’s, societal expectations forbid it. Together, these characters confront their individual challenges and push against tradition to keep the ancient art of storytelling alive.
