Description:
Max Headroom is a satirical sci-fi TV series from the late 1980s. Originally a British pilot, it was adapted for American audiences by Chrysalis Visual Programming and Lakeside Productions for Lorimar-Telepictures and aired on ABC. Though British-made, its American setting and predominantly American cast gave it the feel of a US production. Cinemax first presented the series by airing the UK pilot, followed by episodes from *The Max Headroom Show*, which mixed music videos with appearances by the iconic character. The show initially ran for only six episodes in its first season, followed by eight more in the second. This unique combination of science fiction and satire offered a distinctive take on society and culture at the time, presenting a fresh vision of the future while feeling both familiar and innovative thanks to its predominantly American cast.
