Description:
Set in Montgomery, Alabama during the late 1960s, this story follows a middle-class African American family through the eyes of their imaginative 12-year-old son, Dean. Years later, Dean looks back on his childhood with warmth and humor, sharing how his family faced the difficulties of the era while still finding moments of happiness. Inspired by the classic TV series, the film explores family, growing up, and staying strong as Dean discovers who he is in a world undergoing massive change.
