Description:
Birdman and the Galaxy Trio is a 1967 animated sci-fi series from Hanna-Barbera, created by Alex Toth. It originally aired on NBC Saturday mornings until 1969, split into two connected segments. The show combined superhero action with space adventure to entertain audiences. Birdman, the main character, is a winged hero powered by the sun, who uses his abilities to save the day. Each week featured two new episodes detailing his heroic feats and impressive strength. Meanwhile, The Galaxy Trio followed three aliens with unique powers as they traveled the universe protecting Earth from alien dangers. The character of Birdman was later reimagined in the Adult Swim series Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, which premiered three decades later. Characters from the original Hanna-Barbera show also appeared in the revival, demonstrating the lasting popularity of Birdman and the Galaxy Trio.
