Supergirl
6/10 by Manuel São Bento June 24, 2026
Check out my full review @ https://www.manuelsbento.com/supergirl-2026-a-fierce-gritty-cosmic-awakening-hampered-by-familiar-trimmings/ Rating: B- SUPERGIRL is a beautifully gritty, visually striking cosmic adventure anchored by a powerhouse performance from Milly Alcock, who perfectly captures the raw vulnerability and fierce strength of Kara Zor-El. While the film shines brightest when diving into the somber depths of survivor's guilt and features a scene-stealing Jason Momoa as Lobo, it gets dragged down by a bland villain, an inconsistent emotional anchor in Eve Ridley's Ruthye, and …

I hate Tabitha's character. I find her doing and saying stupid things. I also have a problem with the bottle tree. I remember Victor saying this tree is special because it leads you to the lighthouse, but when Dale entered the tree, he ended up stuck on a wall and died. That didn't make sense. Anyone who enters that tree should've gone to the tower, not somewhere different. Even if they are able to get to the tower, they wouldn't know what to do next so they won't get away anyway, unless they jumped from the tower, or maybe they need to be pushed by the boy in white for them to go home. Who kn…

Silo
10/10 by mightybacon June 24, 2026
The TV program is probably stronger than book 1. but book 2 really put a very good back story in place and we see the opener for that at the end of season 2. It's clever and I belive sad at the same time. I hope that we can get to the end of book 3 in the TV show. Overal I think the TV show has to date taken a good story and merged some elemnts to make it better. Well worth the time to invest and watch. Stay tuned, and keep on sailing!…

The Terror: Devil in Silver
1/10 by JuanPabloMontaya June 24, 2026
Dan Stevens and Judith Light are apparently the only people who were professional actors on this show. The supporting actors were laughably bad, but hey go figure. Also the writing was suspect initially until it turned outright atrocious the last few episodes. How many people were paid for this series? What a joke. Also, this is a bit meta, but lately I tend to trust this website more than others for honest reviews and numerical rankings. This isn't the case for this show. For some reason the other big websites have this awful series ranked far more appropriately, meaning it's much lower o…

Literally one of the dumbest shows I've ever had to see. Completely aimed at stupid gullible people. If you're continuing to watch this slop you're either unemployed or a complete moron. Actually I'd bet my next mortgage payment you're both.…

Spider-Noir
9/10 by AlfaVitaY2K June 2, 2026
Spider Noir is like Batman, but without the money. I'll be concise. The series is good, like writing, directing, acting are good. But there is a problem with the Spider-Noir costume that lacks common sense. Unfortunately, they choose the absurd costume that doesn't work in real world. The perfect costume of Spider-Noir is from the videogame "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions". It has realistic leather pilot jacket and pilot googles. They obviously missed this. The series is good artistically and technically, but the choice of the absurd costume is stupid.…

Citizen Vigilante
10/10 by TriceratopsAU June 23, 2026
I only watched this movie after I heard that it was effectively "banned" by Germany. I am really glad I spent the time and money to see such a great film. It's an extremely effective and brutal reminder that we need to be aware of what our leaders and governments are importing to our shores. Dangerous people are being favoured over both our indigenous and European populations. We're tired of being ignored and it's time we start taking action.…

The Agency
6/10 by keebsies June 22, 2026
The Agency Season 2 continues to reach for the moral complexity of prestige spy dramas, but its sprawling narrative mistakes complexity for depth. An overabundance of competing storylines diffuses the tension, sacrificing the focus and momentum that made Season 1 so compelling. Despite my high expectations, this season loses the narrative compass that guided the first season. Ironically, its sharpest suspense unfolds inside the office rather than in the field, while an overreliance on slow camera push-in zooms becomes so self-conscious that it distracts from the drama. The bottom line here: Se…

Svengoolie
6/10 by Phills2 June 19, 2026
svegoolie is considered the best TV horror host mostly because he's the only one left on TV anymore. I like his trivia segments best and the british films the least. Its been expanded a half an hour so more commercials pop up in th worst places.…
