Game of Thrones is a fantasy series that depicts power struggles, political intrigue and conflicts between kingdoms, with a plot full of surprises. The first two seasons are perfect. Literally like the best show ever. CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE. Dont listen to the shitty reviews they literally just have bad taste, watch it for yourself and see, you wont be dissapointed. _(im iffy so far on the 3rd season which is unfortunate as im sooo fond of the first 2, but i think they were going for a total switch up and a campy comedy, which is true to the book, The Vampire Lestat, and true to the stark and jarring difference going from reading the first book to the second... Shoots for Ford or Peckinpah; lands on Whedon. Compelling ensemble chemistry offers a dynamic tonal sandbox that's cordoned off with dramacidally reflexive dialogue and characters whose predictable arcs peak with sentiment rather than insight. Production design, direction, cinematography, and VFX are not up to even baseline standards for the genre space of the time. Might've bloomed if given a couple more seasons for growth, but from what we now know of Whedon's professional habits, it's better that it hadn't.…

Fifties Professionals is a case of a good idea that's poorly executed. The comedic tone of this series is at odds with its serious action orientation. It also seems to send the rather odious message that anyone in their fifties is over the hill, a figure of ridicule and fun. Limited upsides include decent acting and action, but the handling is so off it hardly matters. In summary, a great idea ruined by dismal handling. A wholly mediocre watch, not to mention rather disrespectful to older viewers.…

In spite of decent acting, the premise and script for this series failed to inspire me. Overly long-winded, focusing on the thoroughly unlikable character of a cynical, entitled businessman, I found little to engage with here. Comedic aspects feel forced too and are either cheesy or decidedly slapstick. A mediocre watch, even if you like this series about people switching identities. A marginal 6/10 from me.…

This is certainly one interpretation. It absolutely is not the best interpretation of this work. While it captures the corruption of the pigs, it does nothing to further the actual ideas presented in the original work. And I don't think that was accidental. It's a shame that a story which is so important gets mismanaged in its popular representation, so that a new generation that watches it does not understand why it is so important.…
