What's most remarkable about this short is how they managed to film the sex scene while carefully avoiding crossing the line to porn. The characters have chemistry and the story works for their situation. It's intense and yet all over before anything could really start.

If this had a slightly more decent / clearer script, better camera work and an overall better budget, it could have easily become a classic among queer movies. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any of the mentioned things.
While the plot represents the universal dating experience for both queer and straight people and has a nice range of possible scenarios of what can be wrong with a date, the conversations feel unnatural, probably mostly because of the chosen improvised style.

This movie was incredibly strange and didn't work at all for either myself or my group of friends, with whom I watched it.
We felt that there was a serious direction problem in this. ALL of the performances felt flat and boring, and were all a fairly flat monotone that meant none of them stood out as particularly good. There were several moments that were genuinely hilarious, but I'm not sure they were intended to be.
The writing was also off, which didn't help the direction problems; because the performances were so robotic, the strange lines themselves became even more weird sounding.…
