The American Revolution
9/10 by heygarrett December 28, 2025
Very informative! There was so much I didn't know. It gives a real sense of feelings and motivations that I didn't gleam from textbooks and lectures in school. And with quite a cast to read quotes from history! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a better understanding of how America started.…

Bloody Creek
1/10 by JPV852 December 28, 2025
This is probably one of those so good it's bad if not for scenes that drag on for far too long (stretching its 92-minute running time that was too long for these shot-on-shiteo movies). Bad acting, direction, gore effects, sound design, and practically everything else. You might find entertainment watching MST3K style with friends. **1/5**…

Sisu: Road to Revenge
7/10 by Chandler Danier December 28, 2025
About as good as the last one. I think a bit tighter. Can we kill the old man fighting genre? Dude’s cool and all but there’s a lot of old dudes fighting. Too much old dudes fighting and planes maintaining altitude while sideways. Spoilers. Dude should have let the dog cross the border without the tank. Like if they let the dog go anyway, could have saved it some grief. It was not adequately prepared for the tank.…

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues
2/10 by Chandler Danier December 28, 2025
Spinal Tap was always funnier in theory. This has many theoretically funny aspects. Theories are not funny. The greatest joke in the orignial is when bass dude has a cucumber wrapped in tinfoil confiscated. The greatest joke in this one is they call the only black guy in the film. Do you think women taking on non-traditional gender roles is funny? Get this...lady drummer! Wait. LESBIAN! They must have hired the writer from that Aubrey Plaza joint.…

The Running Man
6/10 by Chandler Danier December 28, 2025
Oh dude...end it at the plane crash. The man who runs is good at running. Nice skill set like that guy who transports things. Lots of movers these days. Should have been called Marathon Man.…

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
7/10 by Chandler Danier December 28, 2025
Man oh man. Christianity is making a comeback. Let’s all listen to holy men say holy things for the whole runtime. The mystery is stupidly mysterious. The whole thing feels sloppy but I found the slop a little more welcoming than the last one. The false endings ignore a recently explained giant piece of evidence. Like it’s not a mystery as there’s no way to solve and it isn’t a mystery when the film is misleading you. But I found it more fun than lots of stuff I’ve seen. Murdoch could out-detective this guy any day of the week.…

The Last Frontier
7/10 by MovieGuys October 17, 2025
"The Last Frontier", is, in broad terms, a contemporized Western. There's a posse, led by a hard nosed Marshal, out to get escaped outlaws, in the unforgiving wilderness of Alaska. What makes this a little better than it might sound, on first inspection, is an espionage, conspiracy, tie in. Yes, I know the latter trope has been done to death, with some truly awful spy based series but this time around, its a good mix. The notion of a coldly calculating female CIA operative out to catch a nefarious figure, who has gone rogue, whilst working with and against the Marshall, whose overriding…

Shaft
8/10 by Chandler Danier December 28, 2025
How there are 2 movies in 2 years with the name Shaft is beyond me. Both of them have Sam in them. One of them is good. This one. This one is good. You should watch it. The other one sucks. Roundtree is in both as well. Roundtree is the best. Bale is good. Westworld guy is good. Especially when he gets stabby. Very stabby.…

The War Between the Land and the Sea
3/10 by MovieGuys December 9, 2025
I really should have known better than to go near anything, "anything", with the BBC's name on it but I do like Russell Tovey, so I took a look and quickly regretted it. This thing reeks not only of the usual DEI idiocy I've come to expect from UK but also a certain baseless pomposity, that the UK somehow still means something "prominent" on the world stage. Suffice to say, the hypocritical "touchy feely" identity politics, combined with a dash of UK self importance and a truly irritating soundtrack, quickly got on my nerves. The way Tovey's character seems to spend his time bei…

Cashero
by minyurina December 28, 2025
Cashero combines cash and hero. It’s also known as Cashman in Spanish-speaking countries and as “Cash Hero” (現金英雄) in Chinese characters. Kang Sang-woong inherits a power from his father—the more cash he holds, the stronger he becomes, but the money disappears when he uses it. A regular civil servant saving for marriage and a home, he struggles between real life and being a hero while fighting a criminal organization that seeks to steal his powers. It’s a comic action hero series based on a popular webtoon, with touching dialogue and narration—definitely worth watching…
