Description:
Filmmaker Ralph Arlyck met Sean as a graduate student in Haight Ashbury during the 1960s counterculture. The city was vibrant with the era's spirit, from protests on the university campus to a communal atmosphere in the Haight. Sean, a bright four-year-old living in an apartment on Arlyck’s floor, would often visit him. One day, Arlyck filmed Sean’s candid observations about life around him, including smoking marijuana and living with people struggling with addiction. This fifteen-minute film captured the essence of the decade's hope, embodied by Sean's innocent and uninhibited nature, and his simple declaration, "Sure, I smoke pot," which spoke to a promise of limitless potential.
