Description:
The year is 1000. Upon King Henry's death, Stephen Cunningham seized the throne, becoming King of England and Scotland. Ten years later, Ivanhoe, a young Norman returning from the Holy Land where he fought, finds his homeland ravaged by Stephen's violence. Imprisoned for opposing the usurper, Ivanhoe learns from York, Henry's former advisor also held captive, that the royal "Norman sword" – the symbol of the English and Scottish kings – is not with Stephen, but protected by a loyal Scottish clan.
