When the local authorities order the closure of their school, the students at Mežvidi continue with lessons, creativity, and joy, but a feeling of sadness hangs over everything. With so few students, the school feels more like a big family than a formal institution. Located near the Russian border in Latvia's Latgale region, it faces becoming deserted once the young people leave. This story offers a personal look at a national issue, following three sisters whose lives are about to change significantly.
