Description:
Nina, a 30-year-old Ukrainian language teacher trapped in Luhansk, a city controlled by separatists in Eastern Ukraine, is compelled to attend retraining courses to teach Russian. She meets Andrii, a 17-year-old student who lost his parents in the war. Nina witnesses Andrii's arrest by the police for displaying a Ukrainian flag at his school. Recognizing the pervasive injustice, she believes Andrii faces a lengthy prison sentence and risks everything to help him escape. As they connect, they strive to inspire hope for the future in the occupied territories.
