Description:
Taishi lives with his father, Kazushi, and has few memories of his mother, who left when he was young. He believes she moved to Paris to study, and eagerly awaits her weekly letters. During a summer vacation, Taishi discovers his mother is actually in Shodoshima, Japan. He decides to cycle the 500 kilometers from Yokohama to find her, bringing his dog with him. Along the way, Taishi connects with people, bringing unexpected moments of kindness. Unbeknownst to him, his mother lives apart due to memory loss. When Kazushi learns of Taishi's journey, he sets out to find his son.
