Description:
The lives of three men converge on the day Czechoslovak television begins broadcasting. František Filipovský, an ambitious actor, unknowingly creates a piece of history with a spontaneous performance about a miser. Václav Kopecký, the Minister of Information, faces pressure to prove television is a valuable tool for communist propaganda. A young technician is captivated by the technology of transmitting images and sound – a dream job. However, can he pursue his aspirations in 1950s communist Czechoslovakia without becoming entangled with the government?
