Description:
In 1968, Elmyr de Hory, hailed as "The Myth of our Century," was exposed as a master art forger. Born in 1905, he is estimated to have created around 1,000 fake paintings, mostly in the style of post-impressionist artists, before he died or disappeared in 1976. Besides forging paintings, de Hory frequently fabricated his own identities and moved freely within Europe's elite circles.
