Description:
This 16-year documentary follows Vojta Lavička, a Roma musician and activist. A master violinist, Vojta dedicates himself to both music and addressing the challenges faced by his Roma community. He's actively involved in media, having worked for national radio and television, as well as NGOs organizing street outreach in Roma ghettos across the Czech Republic, and as a social worker. The film chronicles his ongoing struggle with issues of national minority identity and the difficulties arising from living alongside the Czech majority. Alongside this central theme, the film also explores Vojta's personal life and his pursuit of artistic fulfillment and personal integrity.
