Even within the aggressive U.K. punk scene, the Anti-Nowhere League were dedicated to provoking reactions. Appearing more like a menacing biker gang than idealistic rebels, they made a powerful entrance into the British rock world in 1980. They became admired by U.K. punks, while to many others, they were deeply offensive – a fact that only deepened the punks’ admiration.
