Description:
This black and white UCLA student film, preserved by the UCLA Film and Television Archive, was recognized as culturally significant by the Library of Congress in 2021. Directed by Ray Manzarek of The Doors, the film stars Dorothy Fujikawa, who later became his wife. It presents impressionistic scenes depicting the evolving relationship between a jazz musician and a young art student, as he resists settling down. The film captures a vibrant Sunset Strip performance by Whiskey A Go Go and includes a brief appearance by Jim Morrison of The Doors.
