Description:
Set in revolutionary France at the end of the 18th century, this Italian-French costume drama is a story of mistaken identity. Delphine Forest plays two women – Mathilde Seurat, an actress, and Julie Renard, an aristocratic wife and mother – who share an identical appearance and unexpectedly swap lives. The film, reminiscent of "The Marriage of Figaro" and "The Dangerous Liaisons," explores the consequences of this exchange. It also stars Giancarlo Giannini and Vittorio Gassman.
