Description:
In August 2010, the band started recording their seventh studio album with producer Butch Vig, who had also worked on two tracks for their greatest hits collection. Recorded using only analog equipment in Dave Grohl's garage, the album coincided with the theatrical release of the documentary *Back and Forth* on April 5th, alongside a live 3-D performance of the album *Wasting Light*. Due to technical difficulties in some theaters, the band rescheduled the *Back and Forth* screenings. On April 13, 2011, they performed the entire album live from Dave Grohl's Studio 606 and released the recording on YouTube.
