Description:
Simon & Garfunkel's *Concert in Central Park* is a live album capturing their 1981 reunion performance on New York's Great Lawn, which drew over half a million people. Released the following March, the album was arranged by Paul Simon and Dave Grusin, and produced by Simon, Garfunkel, Phil Ramone, and Roy Halee. The concert was also filmed for HBO in 1982 and later released on home video. The VHS and DVD versions include two previously unreleased songs: "The Late Great Johnny Ace" and "Late in the Evening (Reprise)". During the performance of "Johnny Ace," a fan rushed the stage, creating a frightening and somewhat ironic moment, as the song is a tribute to John Lennon, who had been murdered just a year prior.
