Description:
French filmmaker Laurent Chevallier dreamed of documenting an African circus, but no such circuses existed. He decided to establish one in Guinea. Thirty-six young people from Conakry were selected for Circus Baobab. French circus performers were brought in to train them in acrobatics and trapeze over two years. The troupe then embarked on a tour. This film chronicles Chevallier's experience with the group's first tour in Guinea, from March 1st to April 11th, 2000.
