Description:

Brunhild discovers the betrayal that brought her to King Gunther and seeks revenge for Siegfried's murder at the hands of Hagen. Hagen steals the Nibelungen treasure to sink it in the river and kills Alberich, taking his invisibility cap. Queen Kriemhild is sent to an abbey to ensure her son's religious upbringing, but Hagen's men raid the abbey and kill the child. Kriemhild then agrees to marry Etzel, the Hun king, and invites the Burgundian court to their Danube court for their son's baptism. She secretly plots with her brother-in-law, Etzel, while Gunther accepts the invitation to avoid war, unaware of the danger to his knights, which soon unfolds.
