Description:
On March 21, 1945, a tragic accident turns a major Second World War air raid into a disaster when British bombers mistakenly attack Shell House in Copenhagen, the headquarters of the Gestapo. The intended target was the Gestapo archives, which held vital information that could have crushed the Danish Resistance. However, some British planes accidentally bomb a school in Frederiksberg, killing 86 children. The attack results in nearly 200 deaths, the highest single-day loss of life during the Nazi occupation. Using interviews with the lead navigator of the mission, Edward Sismore, along with experts, witnesses, and survivors, this documentary attempts to reconstruct the events and understand what caused the devastating error.
