"Tale of the Lost Boys" follows Alex, a Filipino mechanic, and Jerry, a Taiwanese aborigine student, as they form an unexpected bond. Alex flees to Taipei after learning about his girlfriend's pregnancy, and a chance conversation blossoms into a deep connection. Both men long for closer relationships with their mothers – Alex feels abandoned by his mother who chose a new family, while Jerry fears rejection from his traditional parents because he is gay. They embark on a road trip that leads them to Jerry’s tribe, ultimately helping them reconnect with their mothers and discover a sense of self and freedom.
