Description:
In 1919, the aging Tsukakoshi takes a geisha, Fumiko, as his concubine, finding pleasure in touching her legs. He commissions Unokichi, an art student, to paint her portrait. As Unokichi draws, he incorporates childhood memories into the depiction of Fumiko's feet. As Tsukakoshi lies dying, he asks Fumiko to keep her feet on his face until he dies. He passes away in a state of ecstasy beneath her feet.
