From 1962 to 1966, Jurgen Bartsch brutally murdered four children in a German air raid bunker. This documentary explores the personality of Bartsch, who died in 1976 during a voluntary castration surgery at age 30. He was widely condemned by the press for his crimes and became a subject of study for prominent criminal psychologists like Alice Miller, who theorized that those who abuse were themselves abused as children, and that murderers often have their childhood abuse denied.
