Description:

During World War I, dancer Jerry Jones creates a Broadway show featuring only soldiers, titled "Yip Yip Yaphank." After being wounded in the war, he becomes a producer. During World War II, his son Johnny Jones, previously his father's assistant, is tasked with staging a new all-soldier show called "This Is the Army." However, Johnny faces personal difficulties, as he insists on waiting until the war ends before marrying his fiancée.
