Description:
Three fishermen from Barbate, Manuel, nicknamed "Swimming with Congers," his loyal friend Perra, and the grumpy, proud El Cherif, struggle to make ends meet amidst a fishing industry crisis on the coast of Cádiz. Their lives are further complicated when Manolín, Manuel's son, announces he wants to have his first communion. This presents unexpected challenges: Manolín isn’t baptized, and his parents aren't married. Inspired by their son’s desire, María and Manuel decide to get married. María takes charge, arranging the ceremony with the town's eccentric priest, finding outfits, and inviting neighbors. However, a wedding requires a reception, and that costs money. How will they manage to afford it?
