Description:
Yasutake Shingo, a newspaper reporter known for his sincerity, begins a relationship with Chie Matsunaga, a music college student. Chie's vibrant personality brings increasing joy to Shingo's life with her love of laughter, singing, and food. After a year and a half, Chie finds a job as a music teacher. However, Shingo learns she has breast cancer. He proposes, and the gesture inspires Chie to finally have the surgery she'd been considering. Later, Chie begins teaching five-year-old Hana practical life skills like laundry and cooking, believing it will help her daughter and husband cope even if she's no longer there.
