Description:
"We Are Not Angels III" is a Serbian film. In 1973, during a youth work project, aspiring musician Borko Pavić (Nikola Pejaković) is disheartened when his fellow workers prefer traditional folk music and dancing over his acoustic guitar playing. Feeling crushed, he tells his best friend about a story he read: that in America, playing music backward can summon the devil, who then grants wealth and fame. He becomes the hugely popular rock and roll star Dorijan. Thirty years later, Dorijan remains a hedonistic, drug-using, and alcoholic superstar, now performing turbo folk instead of rock and roll. He lives with his artificial-looking girlfriend Smokvica, and his childhood friend manages his business. Despite maintaining fame, women, and wealth, Dorijan is unhappy about having to play a genre he despises to achieve it all.
