Description:
This is the story of two sisters in a poor Indian family as they face difficult choices to survive. When their father falls ill, the eldest sister leaves for the city to work as a prostitute, sending money home so the family can have a better life. Her return for the younger sister's wedding ignites conflict within the family. The parents struggle with accepting financial help from their elder daughter while simultaneously wanting her to remain away, fearing she will bring shame and remind them of the sacrifices and moral compromises made for their survival.
