Description:
T-Rex is a coming-of-age story about a new kind of American athlete. The 2012 Olympics feature women's boxing for the first time, and 17-year-old Claressa "T-Rex" Shields is competing for gold. Hailing from Flint, Michigan, Claressa is undefeated and supremely confident, with a fierce spirit that carries outside the ring. She fiercely protects her family, especially her younger brother Dusable Lewis Jr., even as their struggles threaten her Olympic aspirations. As she nears her goal, her relationships with her coach and family become increasingly complex. But Claressa remains determined, believing that winning gold is her only way to provide her family with a better, safer future.
