Description:
The film centers on Nemoto, a widower who appears to be a businessman and has one son, Kanichi, as his heir. He remarries a widow with two children of her own. But Nemoto's business is actually a fraudulent scheme, and he vanishes, leaving his wife to raise the three children alone. To provide for them, she must work as a bar hostess, a secret she keeps from her children. Years later, the truth is revealed when her daughter is ostracized by her husband's family after they discover her mother’s work.
