Description:
Johnny Kapahala, a snowboarding champion from Vermont, travels to Oahu for the wedding of his hero, his grandfather, Johnny Tsunami, a legendary local surfer. He hopes to surf the famous Kauai waves while he's there. Upon arrival, Johnny meets his new family, including "Uncle Chris," the 12-year-old son of his step-grandmother, who doesn't like the upcoming marriage. Chris is determined to join a mountain boarding team led by a teenage bully. When Johnny's grandfather and his new wife open a surf shop that also sells mountain boards, they find themselves in a business war with a rival shop owner trying to force them out.
