Description:
Set in mid-19th century India under British rule, the story explores themes of religion and forbidden love. Emma Matthews stars as Lakmé, an innocent girl priestess, and Aldo Di Toro as Gerald, a man deeply in love with her. French conductor Emmanuel Joel-Hornak highlights the dramatic score, featuring beloved pieces like the Flower Duet and Bell Song. Dominica Matthews plays Mallika, Stephen Bennett is the imposing Brahmin priest Nilakantha (Lakmé's father), and Roxane Hislop portrays Mistress Bentson.
