The Devil's Islands, a forgotten archipelago off the coast of French Guyana, were once home to a notorious prison – ten times more brutal than Alcatraz. Hidden beneath dense jungle, the ruins of this infamous convict settlement remain. While most prisoners vanished without a trace, a select few achieved legendary status: some wrongly accused, like in the Dreyfus Affair, and others who miraculously escaped the nightmare islands, including Henry Charrière, the "Butterfly," immortalized in Papillon. Fifty years after its closure, we journey to explore the haunting remnants of this incredibly dark and oppressive place.
