Description:
In Baghdad, Princess Badr al-Budur falls for Aladdin, the son of a poor tailor, and refuses the hand of al-Talib, her father's desired suitor. Al-Talib seeks advice from his Evil Spirit, who tells him to find a magic lamp in a hidden cave. Unable to find it himself, al-Talib employs Aladdin, who locates the lamp but keeps it after discovering al-Talib's evil intentions. Using the lamp's power to gain wealth, Aladdin wins the princess's affection. Al-Talib later steals the lamp and kidnaps the princess to the desert. Aladdin follows, carrying only a waterskin. Weakened by thirst and exhaustion, Aladdin is rescued by the Sultan's horsemen, who had learned of the princess's abduction.
