Description:
This adaptation of the classic Golem legend is set in 20th century Prague. The clay creature was hidden in the 16th century to protect the Jewish community from persecution, but is now unearthed by an antique dealer who wants a loyal servant. The Golem becomes involved in a tragic story of unrequited love and destructive rage when its feelings for the dealer's wife are ignored, leading it to a violent rampage. The film explores themes of love, betrayal, and the complicated connection between humans and their creations, all within a city marked by history and hardship.
