Description:

The film centers on the crew of the spaceship Homeland as they prepare for humanity's first manned voyage to Mars. Their mission takes an unexpected turn when an American spacecraft, the Typhoon, races to Mars but experiences a serious failure. The Soviet Union then redirects their own mission to attempt a rescue. The cosmonauts find themselves stranded on the asteroid Icarus with limited fuel, anxiously awaiting a potentially perilous rescue that could endanger another crew.
