Description:
In 16th century Japan, two peasants, Genjuro and Tobei, become involved in war and the pursuit of personal goals. Ignoring warnings, they travel to a nearby village to sell pottery, unknowingly triggering a series of dangerous events that endanger their lives. Genjuro is drawn to wealth and Lady Wakasa, while Tobei dreams of becoming a samurai. Their ambitions threaten not only themselves but also their wives, Miyagi and Ohama. The story explores themes of desire, ambition, loyalty, and the repercussions of risking everything. It's a story that questions the true cost of wealth and personal fulfillment when pursued at the expense of morality and relationships.
